Lipo-C is a multi-component solution combining methionine, inositol, choline, L-carnitine, ascorbic acid, B-vitamins, chromium picolinate and procaine HCl, supplied as a 10 mL vial for laboratories studying lipid-handling and one-carbon-metabolism pathways with mixed cofactor inputs.
The best-characterized component is L-carnitine, the carrier that moves long-chain acyl groups across the inner mitochondrial membrane for β-oxidation; its transport biochemistry is reviewed by Longo and colleagues. Methionine and choline are methyl-group donors in the same one-carbon network that methylcobalamin feeds.
Supplied as a solution, 10 mL per vial. Store at 2–8 °C, protected from light. Component concentrations are listed on the vial label and lot certificate.
